THE CENTER FOR CIVIC INNOVATION: BRAND REFRESH

The Center for Civic Innovation’s mission is to strengthen community understanding, engagement, and power to drive transformative policy change.

They achieve this by:

  • Analyzing legislation, government processes, and public budgets — and translating that information into clear, accessible resources for the public.

  • Informing and engaging residents through research, community conversations, and advocacy on complex local issues that affect Atlanta’s people and places.

  • Supporting, celebrating, and investing in local community leaders who are developing solutions that reimagine and inspire what public policy can and should look like.

ESTABLISHING A VOICE AND TONE

The goal of CCI is to advocate for Atlanta’s unheard. The south’s controversial heritage provided a rich backdrop for inspiration  


Both visually and emotionally, a sense of urgency and and intentional immediacy was starting to manifest throughout the process of this iteration.

The Typeface: Martin

Inspired by the Memphis sanitation strike of 1968

In the spirit of evolution vs revolution + past influencing present, we chose to keep elements of their prior identity intact
